COVID-19 Services

Our services are not just for those who are experiencing homelessness, they are for anyone in need in our community!

We know that times are tough and everyone has been affected by COVID-19.

Whether you are living in poverty or just struggling right now, YOU are welcome at The Rolla Mission!

Capacity: In order to comply with the governors reopening recommendations, only 24 people will be able to be inside the building at a time.

Health Screening: Anyone coming inside the building will go through a health screening first.

You will be asked the following questions:

  1. Do you have a fever, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, chills, muscle aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, and fatigue?
  2. In the last 14 days, have you traveled to areas where community transmission of COVID-19 is widespread?

  3. In the last 14 days, have you had close contact (been within 6 feet) with a suspected or laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patient?

If the answer is "yes" to any of these questions, please do not attempt to come to The Mission. Instead, reach out to a healthcare provider who can help you.

If the answer is "no" to all of the questions, then we will check your temperature. If it is below 100.4° F, you are welcome to come inside the facility for services.

Masks: All patrons, staff, and volunteers must wear a mask at all times, other than while eating and drinking. If you do not have one, one can be provided to you.

Social Distancing: Social distancing is encouraged. Please do not hug, high-five, or come into physical contact with anyone else in the building.

Community Service: People are allowed to report for community service beginning May 11th. You must do a health screening upon entering the building and wear a mask. The primary role will be sanitizing surfaces.

  • Meals: People are encouraged to take their meals to-go. (Breakfast 8-9am, Lunch Noon-1pm, & Dinner 5-6pm). Tables will be spaced 6ft apart. Only one family unit per table. If all of the tables are full, you will have to either wait, or take your meal to-go.

  • Shower: The shower will be available from 7am to 9:30pm. No sign up is required, but there may be a wait.

  • Free Laundromat: The laundromat will be available from 8am until 6pm. You can only do two loads per hour. If you have more than two loads, depending on how busy our laundromat is, you may need to come in a second day to finish. You can do a maximum of 4 loads per day.

  • Case Management: Case management is still available. However, there may be a wait if you do not make an appointment first. Please call 573-308-5474 if you would like to set up an appointment. A case manager can help anyone in need of resources, either through referrals to available resources or by direct support.

  • Emergency Shelter: Our emergency overnight shelter program is seasonal, and only runs from October 1st-April 30th.

  • Playroom: The playroom is closed until further notice.
